- A single account connects during a session from Moscow, then from Almaty, then from Istanbul-the platform detects movement that’s physically impossible.
- The ASN (Autonomous System Number) jumps between data centers and mobile networks-this is a clear sign of a bot.
- The TLS fingerprint and network timings change along with the IP address, which breaks session consistency.
The result: the profile is either immediately sent to the shadow ban or accumulates risk points until it triggers a cascade affecting the entire batch of accounts linked to the same address pool.
Pop Proxy: a server-based point of presence instead of a live device
A POP proxy is a node physically located in a data center that “pretends” to be a specific point of presence, often labeled with a mobile carrier’s brand. The difference from a real mobile proxy is fundamental: a real mobile proxy routes traffic via a SIM card in the operator’s live cellular network, while a pop proxy emulates this programmatically on a server. Meta and TikTok’s anti-fraud systems have learned to distinguish between a real carrier’s CGNAT pattern and a static server ASN-and they do this just as effectively as they detect the device fingerprint of a phone farm.
Automation and multi-accounting violate platform rules-use this only on your own accounts; no one can guarantee you won’t get banned, and the risk is always on your end.

How to check if you’ve been sold a mix IP or POP proxy
- Visit any IP lookup service several times in a row, one minute apart-if the country or city changes, it’s a Mix IP.
- Check the ASN via WHOIS-if it belongs to a hosting provider (DigitalOcean, OVH, Hetzner, etc.) rather than a mobile carrier, it’s a data center or a POP proxy masquerading as a mobile connection.
- Measure the ping and response time-server-based proxies are usually more stable and “cleaner” than a real mobile network with its jitter.
- Ask the seller directly: Is there a SIM card in the device, or is the geolocation being emulated on the server? An honest mobile traffic provider will answer without hesitation.
How to Choose a Proxy So Your Farm Doesn’t Go Down in a Cascading Failure
The golden rule of multi-accounting is one live IP per account, with no rotation within a session. Next on the checklist:
- Choose a proxy tied to a specific SIM card and carrier, not to a pool of unknown origin.
- Find out how a specific platform detects multi-accounting-Instagram and TikTok use different anti-fraud methods.
- Don’t mix data center proxies and mobile proxies in the same farm for a single type of activity-the variation in traffic patterns will give you away.
- For new accounts, keep the IP stable for at least the entire warm-up period, without changing the geolocation.
- Estimate how many devices can realistically be connected to a single IP pool-typically no more than one active account per IP when posting content.
